Soccer – Boys Varsity vs Choate Rosemary Hall – Home
Boys Varsity Soccer
Kingswood faced a talented Choate squad filled with international players and came away with a 2–0 loss, but our team’s defensive effort was impressive, especially in the absence of Captain Brandon Tavares.
Seniors Pratt Blair, Charlie Levin, and Colton Bischoff anchored a strong defensive unit, keeping Choate at bay for much of the first half. Choate finally broke through in the 23rd minute with a well-placed one-time finish at the top of the box. Just before halftime, an unfortunate own goal by senior Pratt Blair off a corner put Choate up 2–0.
The second half showcased Kingswood’s resilience. Despite the scoreline, the team stayed disciplined, fought for every ball, and maintained a strong defensive shape, limiting further opportunities for a skilled opponent.
While we didn’t come away with points, the performance highlighted the leadership of our seniors and the collective determination of the team, setting a strong standard for the season going forward.
