Boys Varsity Soccer ties GCDS, 1-1

The Wyverns had a rare Monday contest in a rain date at Greenwich Country Day School. KO saw themselves get off to a hot start, but on the fast turf the Tigers were able to net the first goal on a counterattack in the 40th minute. 

The Wyverns rallied after the halftime break and with a slightly modified formation we’re able to strike back in the 51st minute. A combination play resulted in  Ardit Zhuta ‘24 at the endline in the left corner, who fired a cross to Grant Daigle ‘24. Despite a plethora of corner kicks and a few more chances in the open field, KO was only able to net one in a dominant second half.

The Wyverns are 6-1-2 and host a trio of games. The first is a Wednesday match against the Frederick Gunn School at 4:30 p.m. on October 16th.
