Soccer – Boys Varsity vs Suffield Academy – Home

Varsity Boys Soccer

Our match against Suffield Academy was another hard-fought contest that ended in a 2–0 loss, but it was a strong display of resilience and defensive discipline from our group.

Suffield struck early, finding the back of the net just three minutes into the game. Despite the early setback, our team settled in quickly and organized into a compact defensive shape, forcing Suffield to work for every chance. We looked to strike back on the counterattack, creating a few promising opportunities through quick transitions and wide play. The boys battled hard throughout the first half, but with just a minute remaining before halftime, Suffield was able to sneak in a second goal to make it 2–0 at the break.

In the second half, our effort and determination stood out. Seniors Charlie Levin and Pratt Blair, along with junior Alex Ndiaye and freshman Reid Burtman, anchored our defensive unit and kept the game tight, denying Suffield any further scoring chances. Freshmen Isaiah Shobola and Jake Schwartz provided great energy in the attack, generating a few solid looks on goal and helping maintain pressure in the midfield.

While we couldn’t find the back of the net, this was a match defined by effort, organization, and teamwork. The group showed grit in staying composed under pressure, and our younger players continue to take positive steps forward each game. We’re proud of the fight the team showed and look forward to building on this performance in the matches ahead.
