The girls JV soccer opened the season with a nice 1-0 win at Porters on Monday afternoon.

Both teams were evenly matched as the game went back and forth throughout most of the game with neither team having many good scoring chances. With 15 minutes to go a series of combination passes leading up to a Remy McCoy “20 pass behind the Porters centerback gave Natalia Correa ’22 a one on one opportunity with the Porters GK which she neatly tucked into the back of the net to put the Wyverns up. While Porters pushed even harder in the attacking zone the Wyvern defense held strong to preserve the win. Maeve McDonald ’19 made 6 saves in net.
