Soccer – Girls JV vs Williston Northampton School – Away

JV Girls Soccer

The JV girls soccer team traveled to Easthampton, MA  to take on Williston on Saturday afternoon.

Despite missing 4 midfield players the starting group did a great job of supporting each other and pressuring the Williston team in their defensive end. After a few blown opportunities, Jackie Dugan ’19 volleyed a cross from Molly Jones ’20 into the right corner of the net to give the Wyverns a 1-0 lead. In the second half, the girls took over where they left off enjoying the bulk of the possession. Jackie Dugan scored her second goal of the day off a pass from Cai Kuivila ’20 and 7 minutes later Natalia Correa ’22 scored off a pass from Jane Dunbar ’19 to give the Wyverns a 3-0 lead. The defensive group played cohesively not allowing the Wildcats many chances to score and Maeve McDonald ’19 made 5 saves in net. The girls start the year at 2-0.
