Renbrook struck first again in the second half to go up 3-1, but the KO girls did not give up. Hana Roggendorf ‘23 scored off a corner kick from the left side to cut the score to 3-2. KO kept the pressure on Renbrook’s defense and Naisola Sarfo-Mensah scored off a breakaway to even the score at 3 with just under 5 minutes to play. Both teams fought hard to gain and keep control of the ball through the final minutes. Renbrook ultimately scored off a scramble in front of the goal from a free position kick to take the lead with under a minute to play. Quin Kearney ‘23, Alina Vaughn ‘23, Tess Chapman ‘23 and Sara Feged ‘25 all played solid minutes on defense denying Renbrook opportunities at the goal, while Sattah Phouthakoun ‘23 made some tremendous saves to keep her team in the game. Addisen Nicholson ‘25, Emma St. Clair ‘25, Maya Gerrits ‘25 and Margaret Miller ‘25 deserve recognition for giving the team quality minutes as they filled in for five A players who could not be at the game.
