Soccer – Girls Varsity vs Canterbury School – Away

KO Crushes Canterbury

The KO girls traveled to New Milford to face non-league opponent Canterbury. The game began with KO working hard but was out of sorts somewhat having trouble connecting and finishing their chances. But mid way through the first half, KO finally broke through as Mackenzie Cahill struck a 22 yard free kick in the upper corner giving KO a 1-0 lead. This gave KO confidence and from there they took over the game. Nadia Silmon scored 2 goals and Sydney St. Clair 1 goal as KO took a 4-0 lead at halftime. The goals kept coming in the second half as Maliyah Douglas, Naya DeMelo, Ali Hogan, Sofia Guerrera, and Lizzie Raccio. all scored to secure a 9-1 win. Assists were collected by Naya (2), Maliyah, Brianna Gerster, Lizzie, Eliana Beakal, and Sofia. KO is off until next Wednesday when they host Loomis Chaffee in a Founders League game.
