Loss 2-3

The girls varsity soccer team under the lights on a cold, wet night lost a close game to Cheshire Academy 3-2. Cheshire went up 2-0 during the first half but our girls fought back to cut the lead in half by halftime. Cheshire again struck first in the 2nd half and again the wyverns came back to make it a one goal game. With seconds left on the clock we almost pulled off a tie in a flurry of shots that just didn’t find the net. That last sequence was a reflection of the entire game where our girls kept fighting and never giving up. Most importantly our wyverns played as always in a way that showed class, honor and respect for the game.
