KO traveled to Choate today to battle one of WWNEPSSA’s highest rated Class “A” teams in Wallingford. Initially, KO played even with Choate with the ability to possess the ball and defend successfully. However, Choate was able to break through at the 20 minute mark of the first half to take a 1-0 lead. KO’s Naomi Diffenderfer and Serena Zhou were able to create some attack but were unable to even the score. Choate increased the lead to 2-0 prior to halftime. KO defended well for the first 20 minutes of the second half but Choate was able to wear down the defense and get a 5-0 win. Playing well for KO was Diffenderfer, Zhou, Nadia Silmon, Gianna Guerrera, Giuliana Fuzzard, and GK Lizzie Raccio who made 13 saves. KO hosts Westminster on Saturday.
