Soccer – Girls Varsity vs Millbrook School – Away

Win 2-0

The varsity girls soccer team traveled to Millbrook and came home with a 2-0 win. Our players were ready to take on the mustangs of Millbrook on a cold and blustery day. Out of the gate the wyverns took control of the game as we possessed the ball and put pressure on the mustangs defense. Both of our goals came earlier in the first half and were assisted. The snow started falling in the latter part of the first half. With the snow in their faces and the slick ground beneath their feet our wyverns kept up their level of play to close out the half 2-0. The second half saw the snow come to an end but not the effort of our wyverns or the mustangs. We faced more pressure in our defensive end but solid play from our back line and goalies kept Millbrook from scoring. Our forwards and midfield kept the pressure on the mustang defense as we had some more opportunities to get shots on goal and if not for a spectacular save by their second goalie the score could have been 3-0. The wyverns left Millbrook cold and wet and with a well earned win under their belt.
