Varsity Girls Soccer

Girls Varsity Soccer lost 2-3 to Pomfret on October 12th.

It was a back and forth game in which KO found themselves up twice – once in the first half and also late in the match with about 15 minutes left to play. Jamie Scarpantonio ‘20 struck the ball from 25 yds out to give us an early 1-0 lead. In the second half, Annelise Vaughn ‘21 calmly placed the ball in the back of the net after a nice build up from the back. In both instances, Pomfret responded and evened the score within a few minutes.  Unfortunately for the wyverns, Pomfret found the back one more time for the game winning goal with under three minutes to play. On the day, it was a much better team effort for the wyverns who started and finished the match with more urgency than in the past.
