Soccer – Girls Varsity vs Taft School – Away

Varsity Girls Soccer

The KO girls were at Taft today in the hopes of starting the last week of the season with a positive result. However, KO came out flat while Taft was energetic, physical and committed to win the ball at any cost. The score was indicative of this as Taft took a 2-0 lead by halftime despite the efforts of GK Lizzie Raccio and and defender Giuliana Fuzzard who played well. The second half began very differently as KO came out with a higher work rate in an effort to tie the game. Serena Zhou, Naya DeMelo, Nadia Silmon, and Olivia Adamowicz had opportunities at goal but could not find the back of the net. After KO controlled play for a while, Taft was able to take control back later in the half and went up 3-0 with 15 minutes left. Taft tacked on 4 more goals in the last 9 minutes. KO will try to bounce back for the last game of the season against Ethel Walker.
