Softball – Girls Varsity vs Westminster School – Away

V Softball

On Monday, the Kingswood Oxford Wyverns narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Westminster Martlets 5-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kingswood Oxford.

Alexis Nisyrios ’27 made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Nisyrios ’27 was also stellar in the batter’s box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and a double.

In other batting news, Aleis Gonzales ’27 was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a triple, a stolen base, and two RBI. Olivia Raccio ’28 was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-3 with a 2 out 2RBI double to give KO the 2-0.

Kingswood Oxford pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Kingswood Oxford will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Cheshire Academy at 5:00 p.m. Kingswood Oxford’s pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Cheshire Academy’s hitters will have their work cut out for them.
