Squash – Girls JV vs Hopkins School – Home
JV Girls Squash
The KO JV Girls Squash team had our best-played match of the season so far against Hopkins at home. The players showed great resilience on court and more sophisticated squash strategy than ever. In the no. 1 spot, Sanya Sadiq ‘26 filled in from varsity to play an incredibly competitive match at the top of the ladder, using super accurate forehand drives and quick volleying on the serve return to pressure her opponent. In the no. 3 spot, Aliza Rashid ‘27 traded off games with her opponent and used hard-hit, high shots to the back to take her opponent into extra points in the fifth game. Playing in both the no. 4 match and an extra match, Cindy Fei ‘26 showed great squash strategy in her shot selection, and great technique on her backhand swing throughout her match. Beverly Li ‘27 showed great improvement in her service returns, particularly on the forehand, in her no. 5 match. The big win of the day came when Racheal Segal ‘28 used variety in her hard-hit drives to win the no. 2 match 3-1, including an extra point third game where she held her composure and took the win. It was a great showing for the team overall, and we’re only getting better from here!
