Squash – Girls Varsity vs Hopkins School – Home

Varsity Girls Squash

The KO Girls Varsity Squash team had a 6-1 loss at home against Hopkins, but showed steady progress in our skills and strategic playing game by game. In the no. 8 position, Aliza Rashid ’27 used her powerful technique to hit through the ball to the back of the court and take control of the T. In the no. 7 and 6 spots, Vysh Setru ’30 and Racheal Segal ’28 used their keen reading of the ball off the front wall to patiently place shots more and more accurately in offensive positions on court. In. the no. 4 spot, co-captain Lia Prahl ’26 played some mind bogglingly precise attacking shots in the front of the court while still ready to methodically dig the ball out of the back to take away her opponent’s advantage, showing incredible competitive progress since the beginning of the season. In. the no. 1 spot, Valerie Perkins ’29 used punishing holds to disguise fierce cross courts and precise straight drives to the back of the court, and maintained solid defensive court coverage to counterpunch on every defensive shot. We are working our way into the last section of the regular season and some of our best squash yet! Let’s go, KOSQ!
