The KO Girls Varsity Squash team lost 6-1 against a skilled opponent, Kent, with incredible individual matches within that team score. The battle of the day happened in the no. 6 spot, when Alyssa Tousignant ‘25 went back and forth with her opponent, going into extra points in the fifth game and only narrowly losing 10-12. In the no. 3 spot, captain Ilianna Brett ‘24 was clinical in her powerful drives and timely usage of the front of the court, taking her match 3-0 in style. In the no. 7 position, Sanya Sadiq ‘26 showed great “squash IQ” with her punishing placement of her shots and her drives that reached the back corners. In the no. 4 position, Ella Chen ‘25 played better each game, using improved cross court returns of serve and well-executed backhand drives to take her opponent to task. The Wyverns showed their grit and their adaptability during their matches, only narrowly missing out on key games here and there. The team will use these positive takeaways to move into our next match with good momentum!
