Squash – Girls Varsity vs St. Luke’s School – Away (scrimmage)
V Girls Squash
For our first and last match of the season, we had a great outing with some close games in each individual match, as well as several players making their Upper School squash debuts. Annabelle Jacobs ‘23 was ready to compete, using strong multi-shot combinations to stay ahead and take her match 3-0 in the no. 5 spot. Lilli Goldman ‘25 had a true test of her foot work and dug in with determination for a tough 3-0 loss followed by an a extra match that she rallied for, taking it 2-0. Ava Marseglia ‘26 and Mackenzie Caruso ‘22 showed off their skills in our no. 1 and 2 spots, respectively, constructing many impressive points against top-level opponents. Macy Isenberg ‘22 brought high serving and long drives to her well-fought match in the no. 4 spot, taking her opponent to the limit in each game. Regina Miller ‘22 and Ilianna Brett ‘24 (in the no. 6 and 3 spots) had the technical skill in their drives to the back of the court, and their composed competitiveness was clear from the start. We were glad to get out and play a strong team at the end of our season. Nice work, Wyverns!
