The KO Girls Varsity Squash team had a very close nail-biter of a match against Suffield, narrowly losing out 4-3 with some fantastic individual performances from the players. Stepping up to the no. 1 spot for the day, co-captain Sanya Sadiq ’26 had impressive court coverage and offensive shotmaking that put her toe to toe against a solid opponent. In the no. 3 spot, Clara Toomey ’27 backed up relentless chasing down of shots with more and more precise strategy to move the ball around her opponent for a 3-0 win. Racheal Segal ’28, in the no. 6 spot, was firing backhand volleys and ground strokes, combining those with her stellar serve to sweep her match 3-0. Nina Mattamana ’30 in the no. 4 spot was ready to pick the pall out of the air at every turn and had a solid 3-0 win. In the no. 7 spot, Ava Patel ’28 was ready to send the ball soaring to the back of the court and then battle for control of the “T” with shallow shots to the front. We were glad to have such a positive contest, despite the end result, and we’ll keep moving forward! Go KOSQ!
