Tennis – Boys JV vs Avon Old Farms School – Away

A depleted JV Boys Tennis team faced off against the hosts from Avon Old Farms on Saturday and came just short 4:5.  Convincing wins by our top two singles players Aashir Mathur (‘29) and Reid Burtman (‘29) 8:3 and 8:4, respectively put us quickly ahead 2:0 and we were still ahead by 2 points after all singles had been completed thanks to the wins by Joonha Hong (‘29) and Hayan Saleem (‘28) at number 4 and 5 singles. Unfortunately, none of our three doubles teams were able to secure the clinching point.  As our three missing players join the team on the road on Monday, we hope to rebound against Hamden Hall School.
