Tennis – Boys Varsity vs Avon Old Farms School – Home

Varsity Boys Tennis

On Friday afternoon, we played AOF in what was a highly competitive, hard fought match.

AOF earned the doubles point by winning at #1 and #3, while KO won at #2 with Max-William Kanz and Teddy Keegan playing well in an 8-4 win.In singles, a number of people stepped in to fill some gaps in the lineup due to illness and injury to our #2 and # 5 respectively. Ultimately, the doubles point was the difference as KO won at #1, 3, and 4 (Luke Riemann, Max-William Kanz, and Teddy Keegan) and dropped matches at 2, 5 and 6. The #1 and # 4 matches went down to the wire, with Riemann winning 10-8 in a third set tiebreaker and Keegan winning 11-9 in a 3rd set tiebreaker as well. Kanz played very well, winning in straight sets before heading to his evening KO Choral concert!
