Tennis – Boys Varsity vs Hotchkiss School – Away

Varsity Boys Tennis

We traveled to Hotchkiss for a match against the top team in our league. We knew it would be tough, and despite our best effort, the result was a 6-1 Hotchkiss victory. We made them work for it, as Ciaran Concepcion played an inspired match against a super player. Ciaran took the first set, and after splitting sets, his opponent earned a 10-7 supertiebreaker victory. Other strong performances came from Pratt Blair, winning at #2 singles in straight sets, and freshman Reid Burtman, who played quite well in a 6-4, 6-2 loss. I was proud of the boys for their grit and fine play. Ultimately, we lost to a stronger team, and made them work for the win.
