JV Girls Tennis faced a challenging opponent on Saturday (0-8) , but came away from the match having had fun and having learned a great deal
Margaret Miller ‘25 fought hard against a talented Choate player, while Alisa Ruban ‘24 showed great adaptability as her hustle improved with each set. Anna Ollenschleger ‘25 had a solid showing in the first match of her career, carrying 2 sets, and Saanve Bathula ‘24 had fun throughout her game. On the doubles side, Alyssa Tousignant ‘25 and Francesca Lamattina ‘25 held in while facing an opponent who excelled at placing the ball short. Keysy Lopez-Diaz ‘24 and Lily Temkin ‘25 gelled well as partners, and Ally La Croix ‘24 and Kaitlin Finnerty ‘23 showed some skill in placing the ball in hard to reach spots. On the whole, the day showed the team areas for us to target for improvement, which is a good thing. We look forward to our next match, on 4/23 against Cheshire Academy.
