JV Girls Tennis faced the strongest JV squad Miss Porter’s fielded in recent memory. Despite the loss, there was a lot of outstanding tennis played. For example, Gianna Guerrera, in her singles debut, played all the way to a tiebreaker, finally overcoming her opponent to win 9–8. In the best game of their year so far, Riya Sekaran and Siri Tokala showed amazing chemistry in their 8 to 2 victory. Olivia Pilecki and Ava Patel mounted a comeback in doubles, although they fell just short of a victory, losing 6–8. In short, our team continues to grow stronger with every game, including those that end in a loss for our side. JV‘s last game of the season will be at home against Cheshire Academy at 5:00 PM on Monday, 4 May. Come out to cheer on our three seniors who will be donning a KO uniform for the last time before they graduate!
