JV Girls Tennis

JV Girls Tennis played its most entertaining match of the year so far, facing Pomfret on Saturday. The day saw so many well-matched players! Anna Ruiz played a talented opponent in #1 Singles in a marathon match, finally winning 8-7. Claire Gitner fought for every point, fighting all the way to a tie-breaker in #2 singles. Ava Patel and Olivia Pilecki showed tremendous resilience in #1 Doubles, trading wins with Pomfret until winning 9-8 in a match that drew quite a crowd. Nora Gerrits and Gianna Guerrera both showed smart play and sustained long rallies, while Claudia Ripepi and Julia Atanasio-Villa learned a lot in their first doubles match as a team. Finally, Riya Sekaran and Siri Tokala continued their evolution as a team in the #3 Doubles slot.

Throughout every match, smiles and cordiality reigned, which was great to see. Win or lose, these Wyverns enjoy playing!

JV’s next game will be @ Wilbraham & Monson Academy on Wednesday (4/15) at 3:30 PM.
