Varsity Football vs Berkshire School – Away

V Football

The Wyverns went to Sheffield, MA to take on the Berkshire school on a sunny, yet breezy day.

The Berkshire offense was strong running the ball all game and got out to a 13-0 halftime lead. However the Wyverns had no quit and came charging back. Bailey ’25 hit Ben Stengel ’23 on multiple big passing plays to get the offense going. The scoring started with  Bailey ’25 hitting Rhandyn Bair ’24 in stride and Bair ’24 did the rest for the first score of the game for a 49 yard TD.  Next Ben Stengel ’23 hit a brilliant short kick and it was recovered by Chase Fountain ’23. The KO offense then marched down the field scoring on a 10 yard TD strike from Bailey ’25 to Dalton Grant ’23 to tie the game at 13 late in the 3rd quarter.  The scoring would then alternate the rest of the way with Berkshire getting the final score. Defensively Evan Tyler and Nate Bowes led the way for the wyverns with 7 tackles each.  The Wyverns look forward to their next game at home on Hewett Day at 3pm against the Canterbury School.
