V Girls Soccer

Varsity girls soccer beat Kent 3-1 at home on Wednesday 10/12.

The Wyverns came out focused and ready to play. From the start our girls controlled the play keeping the pressure on Kent’s defenders. Georgia Louis ’24 opened the scoring with a nice finish off a pass from Ella Sokale ’24. Later in the first half they reversed jobs and Georgia fed Ella for a goal. The Wyverns went into half time with a 2-1 lead. Ashley Neikrie ’24 scored in the second half off a corner situation that saw multiple Wyverns keep the ball alive until Ashley found the back of the net. Julia Stepnowski ’28 played a strong game in the midfield. Our back line of Ava Leshem ’24, Aashni Patel ’24, Liv Stevens ’24 and Caroline Gauvin ’27 played a steady game as they kept Kent’s attackers out of sync. Overall, it was another strong team effort for the Wyverns.
