Volleyball – Girls JV vs Cheshire Academy – Home

In their penultimate match, KO JVVB took on Cheshire Academy on Monday at home, winning 3-0 (25-22, 25-6, 25-22). KO’s serve was especially powerful throughout the match, most notable on the line was Lidia Martinez-Castro ’27, who served for 15 straight points in the second set, followed by Diya Mistri ’24. who served for 5 to take the team to 24. In the first and third set, Delphine Lamattina ’27 was a serving force, as was Aleis Gonzalez. ’27, earning a total of 20 points combined in the 2 sets. Defensively, Gonzalez had a great day as libero, and Zil Desai ’27 stepped up in the back row. Offensively, Danica Arwen De Dios ’27 was some strong attacks from the outside and Selma Knutson ’27, once again. had the game winning tip in the second set. The team has a 7-4 record as they head to their final match on Wednesday.
