KOJVVB beat Cheshire Academy on Tuesday in a long and hard fought 5 set battle 3-2 (25-18, 25-10, 15-25, 20-25, 15-7). Strong serving alternated between the two teams throughout the mtach, with KO seeing numerous aces from Tara Mahoney ’27, Jahnvi Modi ’29, and co-captain Sienna DuBois ’26. KO also earned offensive points off kills from Mahoney, who had 8 for the day, DuBois and Jenna Schwarz ’28 who each had 3, co-captaiin Layla Hall ’27, Evelyn Nelson ’28, and Racheal Segal ’27 all with 2 kills, and Summer McHugh ’27 and Zil Desai ’27 who each earned 1. In her penultimate JV VB match, DuBois served the first 11 points in the final set to give KO a comfortable lead, which they were able to hold on to win the match. KO now has an 8-3 record as they head into their final match, tomorrow against Canterbury.
