KO Tops the Hilltoppers in Season Opener

Wyverns Volleyball Sweeps Hopkins in Season Opener 2-0 (25-18, 25-8)

The Kingswood Oxford Middle School Volleyball team kicked off their 2026 season in dominant fashion on Wednesday afternoon, earning a 2-0 sweep (25-18, 25-8) on the road against the Hopkins Hilltoppers in New Haven.
Featuring a dynamic roster of Upper Prep, Form 1, and Form 2 student-athletes, KO set the tone early with a relentless service game. Kate Pfadenhauer led the charge from the service line with an impressive 12 aces, while Nyla Webb added four aces of her own. Audrey Rigeur, Savanah LaCroix, and Arden Niemitz each tallied three aces, with Farrell Greig and Dylan Cyr also recording their first aces of the season.
On the defensive end, Bianca Conti, Sarah Colgate, Sia Economos, Kiara Raffa, Rose Goldfarb, and Mia Jacobson delivered steady play to control the tempo and power the return attack. It was a total team effort from start to finish as every player contributed to the opening-day victory.
Up Next: The Wyverns return home to host Williston on Wednesday, September 30, for their home opener.
