Varsity Volleyball
KO Girls’ Varsity Volleyball beat Ethel Walker away on Wednesday, 25-8, 25-9, 25-17.
Consistently strong serving was the key to the successful day; Lindsay Bailey ‘ 22 remained on the line for 5 points and co-captain Kathryn Westrick ’20 stayed there for 6. In the second set, Bella Leuschner ’20 served for 9 straight points, and in the final set, co-captain Sydney Smith ’21 served for 5 consecutive points. Once again, every varsity player contributed to the win; some notable performances included Mackenzie Caruso ’22 in the libero position, Westrick who had a great day setting and Smith, who led the team in kills. Jillian Plaut, ’23, who was celebrating her birthday, had some great kills from both the outside and the right side positions. KOVB is now 3-1 and will meet Suffield at home on Saturday for our Dig Pink match.
