Volleyball – Girls Varsity vs Pomfret School – Away
Varsity Volleyball
Like most other KO teams, the Girls’ Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Pomfret on Saturday and won 3-1 (25-19, 23-25, 25-21, 25-23).
KO was a bit sluggish offensively in the first set, although Sydney Smith ‘21 had a ten-point serving streak that helped KO take the lead. Lucy Gardner ‘21 also had a great day on the service line, serving for 4 points in the first set, 5 in the second, and 6 in the third. Kathryn Westrick ‘20 was the key server in the final set, helping KO get within 1 point of the lead, after being down 15-22. Offensively, it was Smith’s day, with the majority of the team’s kills, while Trinity Hudson ‘20 and Audrey Decker ‘20 added a few from the middle.
KO is now 7-2 and will travel to Worcester Academy on Wednesday.
