Volleyball – Girls Varsity vs Suffield Academy – Away
Varsity Volleyball
For the first time in many years, KO Varsity Girls’ Basketball won at Suffield, 3-1 on Wednesday.
The scores were 25-19 16-25, 25-20, and 25-17. Most notable about the match was the variety of offensive kills that KO was able to execute. Audrey Decker ’20 was effective in the middle position, as were Lucy Gardner ’21 and Sydney Smith ‘ 21 from the outside and Kathryn Westrick ’20 from the right. Trinity Hudson ’20 played excellent back row defense throughout the match. Gardner served well in the third set, remaining on the line for 6 straight points, and Smith earned seven points in the fourth set taking KO to a 13-2 lead. Suffield came back to tie it up at 16-16. After a few great offensive plays from KO, Leuschner closed out the final set with 5 straight points.
KO is now 9-3 and will face Miss Porter’s away on Saturday.
