Football Builds on Former Success

With the late August evening temps hitting the 50s, that can only mean one thing: football season. KO’s varsity football intends to continue their success from last year’s stellar 6-2-1 record. The team advanced to the Mark Conroy Bowl game but came up heartbreakingly short with a 17-14 tough loss against Noble and Greenough.

This year the team will be led by a new head coach with 27-years of experience, J.B. Wells. Prior to KO, Wells was the head football coach for the Bowdoin College Polar Bears for three seasons, and he was the first football coach at Endicott College from 2001-2014 where he created a culture of success posting a 75-48 overall record in 12 varsity seasons.

The season starts with two scrimmages on September 7 versus St. Lukes (away) and home on September 14 versus Canterbury. The team’s first home game will be on September 28 against New Hampton School.
