Said Coach Tricia Watson. “As a captain, Cici has soared in this leadership role. Leading by example she led our team throughout the spring season by participating in our KOTF stretches and competing in the virtual meets, and earned 2nd place in the 400 meters during our virtual track meet. She is an enthusiastic and dedicated student-athlete who cares beyond self. It has been a pleasure to coach Cici and I can’t wait to see where she takes our team next year!"
Said Chagnon, “Track and field has been an amazing experience because even though I was initially really nervous starting the sport as a freshman, the coaches and my teammates have always been really supportive and always make practices and meets fun. I’ve made some of my best friends through track and I love the community of the team.”
Timeout with Cici:
How I’ve stayed active: As a track team we stretched together twice a week, but individually I’ve been doing some runs around my neighborhood and walking my dog a lot.
Quarantine show: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Quarantine meal: Taco Pasta
Biggest benefit to online learning: I’ve been enjoying our 9:00 a.m. start time and getting some extra sleep.
