The King Vikings would score first in the game and then again with
1:46 remaining in the period to take a 2-0 lead into the lock room. KO would get on
the score board late in the 2 nd period on an even strength goal by Bodie Swanson
’25 to bring the game to 2-1. Sean Gilland ’22 and Austin Perkins ’26 would be
credited with the assists on the goal. KO Would answer again in the 3 rd period on a
power play opportunity. Good puck movement would open up at shooting lane for
Gilland ‘23 at the top of the point to hammer a slap shot past the Vikings goalie to
bring the score to 3-2. Nico Bromley ’25 and Cody Brew ‘23 would be credited
with the assists. The Vikings would later benefit from their own powerplay
opportunities and eventually won the game 5-2. Matt Cote ‘ 23 played well in net
for KO posting 51 saves.
