Kingswood Oxford announces the appointment of new individuals who will serve on the Board of Trustees for a three-year term. The school is fortunate to have their depth of experience and commitment to help guide our vision and direction in the upcoming years. Their investment of time underscores their belief in our mission and its long-term sustainability.
Megan Ouellette, P’18 P’20 holds a degree in accounting from Bentley University, and earned an advanced degree in Interior Architecture from Boston Architectural College. She worked at Graham Gund for several years with a focus on interior design. Ms. Ouellette has knowledge of interior design and space planning, both of which are critical areas for us to focus as we execute our 2020 Vision. Ms. Ouellette and her husband own Firefly Studios, a game development company.
Bonnie L. Dobkin, M.D., P'19 began her career in public accounting after earning her degree from the Honors Program at the University of Connecticut. She joined KPMG in Boston where she provided auditing and consulting services to companies in the healthcare sector. After receiving her CPA, her heart lead her in a new direction: a career in medicine. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Albany Medical College of Union University and completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Dobkin subsequently completed a fellowship in Breast Imaging at the Faulkner Sagoff Centre in Boston and is a nationally recognized expert in providing patient centered breast health services. The board welcomes Dr. Dobkin’s knowledge of and experience in business development, finance and accounting.
Helen Eatherton, CPA, P’11 P’14 holds a degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut. After graduation she worked at Arthur Young as a Senior Auditor. After leaving public accounting, she worked in Accounting Management roles at Gerber Scientific and United Technologies. Ms. Eatherton was Finance Director with United Healthcare and Hartford Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Eatherton found her way back in public accounting with Federman, Lally & Remis LLC, where she remains today, as an Audit Manager. The Board welcomes her accounting expertise.
Mary S. Martin ’77 P’17 P’20 rejoins the Board of Trustees this year. Ms. Martin is a Program Officer at HA Vance Foundation, with a focus on education reform in Connecticut. She is a member of the Greater Hartford Arts Council’s Board of Governors and sits on their Finance Committee as well as other boards. She brings a depth of finance and management knowledge from her 15-year career with several divisions of United Technologies Corporation, as well as significant institutional knowledge of Kingswood Oxford. Ms. Martin holds a degree in history from Yale University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
