Sweet Harmony Reigns at the Wyvern A Cappella Festival
Imagine a jam-packed theatre filled with fierce competitors, high energy and hard rocking pop, smooth jazz and inventive takes on a cappella standards. That’s what’s in store on the nights of Friday, Jan. 26 and Sat. Jan. 27 when these young singers take the stage.
Featuring all-female, all male and mixed groups, the WIAF performers are judged on their musicality, performance, and originality. Each group performs two songs of their choosing. Last year’s top talent featured a fantastic version of Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” by Lexington High School, a blistering “My Shot” by KO’s own Crimson Seven and Ethel Walker’s The Grapes, awarded Best in Show, for their rendition of “Happy Ending.”
