KO Graduate Honored with Humanitarian of the Year Award

The Connecticut Chapter of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation will honor D. Steven H. Brown with the 2018 Humanitarian of the Year Award at its Bottoms Up event on November 2 at the Delamar, West Hartford.

Dr. Brown graduated from Kingswood Oxford in 1983 and his two children graduated in 2015 and 2017. Currently, his youngest attends the school. Dr. Brown is a partner at Colon & Rectal Surgeons of Greater Hartford and is the medical director at Evergreen Endoscopy Center in South Windsor. He has served as program director for the Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center’s residency in colon and rectal surgery since 2011.

The event will honor Kristen Rowland as the 2018 Honoree, a KO parent and long-time volunteer of the Connecticut Chapter. Bottoms Up supports the Foundation’s mission of finding cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, two debilitating, incurable inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), and raises awareness and funds for the more than 19,000 Connecticut residents and more than 1.6 million Americans affected by these diseases.
