KO Student Selected for CT Scholastic Art Program

Form 4 student Eli Brandt ‘23 recently received a Gold Key for his triptych art piece entitled “Bicycles” at the CT State Scholastic Art Show.  His work has been selected for exhibit in the 2021 Connecticut Scholastic Art Awards Program.

A panel of creative professionals recognized Brandt’s art as the most outstanding work created among peer submissions. As a Gold Gold Key winner, his works will be automatically advanced to the national level of adjudication in New York City. National medalists will be announced in March, and a 2021 Scholastic Art Awards Virtual Exhibit will soon open.

Since 1923, the CT Scholastic Art Awards have recognized some of America’s most celebrated artists and writers, including Tschabalala Self, Stephen King, Kay WalkingStick, Charles White, Joyce Carol Oates, and Andy Warhol.

Congratulations to Brandt on this remarkable achievement!
