The KO Power of Women partnered with Dignity Grows to deliver 125 comprehensive female hygiene care packages to Gifts of Love on Monday, May 17. Gifts of Love is a nonprofit organization that assists families in the Greater Hartford area experiencing financial crises by providing services to help them regain economic independence. At their spring event, Power of Women raised $1000 in donations to fund these care packages. KO POW partnered with Jessica Zachs, the CEO of Dignity Grows, to assemble the care packages. Jayne Rotter, faculty advisor to POW, and Olivia Reynolds, executive board member, transported the bags Gifts of Love. Nancy Carlson, the Volunteer and Outreach Manager at Gifts of Love, is organizing the distribution of the care packs to their clients.
