Wyvern Nation Sports Wraps – April 7, 2022

Lacrosse

The Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse team opened the season with two away games in 3 days. The first against Greenwich Country Day school on April 4 and the second against Pomfret on April 6. The Wyverns lost 16-6 and 14-3, respectively. Though the score may not reflect it there was some solid play from the girls’ and their effort throughout both games never wavered. 

Tennis

The Varsity Girls’ Tennis team defeated Hall High School 6-1 in a strong effort to start the spring campaign on March 30. The four singles players for the day (Stella Dodd ’23, Amrita Natarajan ’22, Abby Baier ’23, Alex Doering ’26) achieved straight-set victories in the singles slots. Victoria Concepcion ’26 and Hallie Braunstein ’23 had a good win at #1 doubles while Yzzy Albert ’25 and Irene Fotache ’24 were victorious at #2 doubles.
