One thing I’ve learned about myself at KO is that I’m a more outgoing person than I thought. Rather than being shy, it’s okay to express yourself. Being smart is actually a cool thing, and you want to express that. At KO, it’s really helpful that you can’t hide in the back of a classroom. It’s important in many ways because you are learning more, not only as a student but as a person, too. KO changed my mindset by showing that it’s okay to be smart. For example, when I was in elementary school. if you were always talking and answering the questions people would call you a nerd. But now, if you’re the smartest kid in the class, you want to talk and people ask you for help.
