Lifelong Learners. Yup. That’s us!

Kingswood Oxford teachers are not just educators but also dedicated lifelong learners. Their commitment to expanding their knowledge and honing their craft inspires us all. In a rapidly evolving world, they understand that learning never stops. They constantly seek new teaching techniques, innovative tools, and fresh perspectives to ignite curiosity in their students’ minds. Their thirst for knowledge doesn’t just benefit their classroom; it sets a powerful example for our Wyverns. By showing them that learning is an exciting adventure, they instill in them a lifelong love for learning.

See What a Difference You Can Make

Hear from our Faculty

Middle School English teacher Anastasia Quinn discusses student equity and what “success” looks like in the classroom.

Upper School English teacher Michele Caswell talks about the Warren Baird Symposium program and how this supports the student-centered experience and her own passion for the English language.

What We’re Reading

What We Believe

As a community with a growth mindset, KO continually asks faculty to refine their teaching and adopt best practices in the classroom. Teachers self-select Collaborative Learning Groups (CLG) to join. These groups meet to collaboratively lesson plan and analyze student work with the goal of creating an equitable classroom culture where student ownership is the norm. The five focus areas include a book club related to a summer reading, project-based learning (PLB) and authentic application, how to give feedback to develop independent learners, student-led class discussions to aid in student agency and choice, and collaborative learning.

Teachers constantly engage with this question in their work: “How do we learn deeply together?” This is a vibrant school in which to work, learn and grow.
