INSPIRING CAREERS IN MATH, SCIENCE, AND TECHNOLOGY

 

The Harry E. Goldfarb Speaker Series brings science, math, and technology leaders to campus to:

 

  • Inspire students to consider careers in science and medical careers

  • Instill collaborative teaching and research among science, math, and technology faculty

 

Since its inception in 2008, the Goldfarb Speaker Series has welcomed innovators from a variety of industries — many of whom are Kingswood Oxford graduates — including:

 

  • Marc Shafer ’75, P ’08, ’15, ’17, Trustee, President of Dawn Enterprises

  • John McNary ’80, Founder of Nassal Company

  • Henry DePhillips, M.D. ’78, Executive vice president and chief medical officer of Audax Health

  • Jerrold Rosenbaum ’65, Chief of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, Stanley Cobb Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, President and Executive Director of MGH Mood and Anxiety Disorders Institute (MADI)

  • Christina Kim, M.D., Pediatric urologic surgeon

  • David Quick ’92, Consultant Software Engineer at EMC Corporation

  • Janet Krevolin ’80, Chief Technology Officer, Bio2 Technologies, Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Tufts University

 

The Goldfarb Speaker Series was created by alumnus William H. Goldfarb ’64 and his brother, Robert B. Goldfarb, to honor their late father, Harry E. Goldfarb.
