Loss 4-5

The Boys’ JV Tennis team traveled to Pomfret School on Wednesday 4/10 to play their first contest of the season losing 4:5. The boys were very successful in singles winning 4 out of 6 matches. Mohan Palanki (‘25) at #6 singles, Leo Zhang (‘24) at #4 and Kiran Sekaran(‘25) at #2 all took early leads and never trailed winning 8:5, 9:7 and 8:6 respectively, and the team’s captain Jacob Mapp at #3 (‘24) survived a late surge by his opponent winning 8:6. Despite missing two or our regular players, all of our three pairings in doubles were very competitive in their losses. Our next match is against Hopkins on 4/17.
