Since he was young, Scott has always been a builder and creator. His early life as a carpenter led him to study sculpture in art school, where he discovered the power of art as a means of expression, connection, and collaboration. Since starting in 1994, his work at Kingswood Oxford as an art teacher, coach, and advisor has allowed him to help young people develop their own unique voice while embracing those of others.

As a product of an independent school, Carolyn has spent her entire career working in them.  Carolyn came to KO in 2002 as our dean of students. In 2016 she took on the role of director of academic planning, overseeing Upper School scheduling and working with students to maximize their academic journey. Carolyn says, “I love teaching and learning with (and from) adolescents and believe that the relationships formed at KO, in the classroom, in their advisee group and on the playing fields or courts are formative ones that have a lasting impact.” In her spare time, Carolyn loves to read, travel, and watch movies. Her goal each year is to see all the best movie nominees before the Oscars. She’s always interested in learning new things and she has recently taken up golf.
